Top Subscription Boxes for Kids

When you’re three, getting post is the most exciting thing... not like when you’re 30-something and getting bills, bills and more bills! Erin has been lucky enough to receive some brilliant sample subscription boxes over the last few months so I thought I’d share our top three. The boxes were all gifted but I promise you to be completely honest (not to mention leaving out the boxes she’s received that were not so great 🙈).

  1. Little Cooks - £8.99/ month (and get 25% off your first box if you sign up to the newsletter!)

With the ingredients to make a delicious, healthy snack and super clear recipes, what’s not to love about Little Cooks?! And there’s no better way to educate little ones about healthy eating than them being fully involved in the whole creating (and eating!) process. We have even kept the recipe cards to remake the food another time!

  1. Willow and Wild - from £7.25/month

If you’ve never heard of Forest schools, definitely find out if there’s one in your area as they’re just brilliant for getting kids outdoors, discovering lots about nature and science in exciting ways and the Willow and Wild Box is a fantastic extension of this. The box is absolutely jam packed with different activities so we went on a nature walk to collect up some leaves and flowers, returning home to create masks and learn lots about owls.

  1. Toucan - £7.95/month + £2 P+P (Get your first box free - just pay postage)

Although I’m not convinced with the value for money with the Toucan box, it’s a firm favourite with Erin. She loves looking at the instructions to work out the art activity of the money, which has previously included sock puppets, stickers, instructions booklet and games.

Overall, I think these are absolute genius ideas and although I’m not sure I would be able to pick just one to commit to for 6 months, I will definitely be purchasing them as one-offs and I think the single boxes and subscriptions make a really fantastic and unique birthday or Christmas present so if you know me IRL, expect one for your little people soon!!
