Review: Moonlite storybook projector

Ok, so at first I was quite sceptical about a projector for storybooks. I am hugely passionate about children's literacy, as an ex primary school teacher and avid reader myself. I still am of the thinking that children, even tiny babies, should be given the opportunity to handle real books as much as possible BUT the Moonlite story projector is a fantastic addition to this.

Moonlite Story Projector

As part of our bedtime routine, which I'm a huge stickler for, we read two books every night before sleepy time! Since we've received the projector to review, we have swapped out one of these for one of the fairytales that came in the set and the kids absolutely love it. It's super simple to set up (you just clip the projector onto your phone and download an app) and really is a unique storytelling experience - anything that gets them even more excited about reading is a winner in my eyes!

As I read the story to them (the text shows up on the app), beautifully soft music plays in the background, with lovely little sound effects, as you go through the text. You just turn the disc in the projector to view the different images that accompany the text and it is such a calm and happy way to end the day with the children.

Get your Fairytale Set and don't forget to check out lots of other story discs too - they're a great gift that you can keep adding to on birthdays!
